Red Rock Boys Volleyball - Program Info

Red Rock Boys Club Program:

Red Rock offers a great club volleyball experience for boys in the 5th to 12th grade.   We have two seasons for the boys program: fall season and summer season.  Players can join a team through the tryout process at the beginning of each season.  We have teams for all skill levels: beginners, intermediate, and advanced players.  Our goal is to teach the athletes technical volleyball skills at practice, develop game experience by playing in tournaments,  and to provide a great learning experience in a team environment.

Fall Season

Practices are 2 or 3 days a week depending upon the team.  All teams are scheduled to compete in the Boys Power League in the fall.  The season runs August through January each year.   Tournaments locations: San Mateo, San Jose, Walnut Creek, and Sacramento area.  We also travel to LA and Chicago for some tournaments.

Winter/Spring Season

January through mid-May each year, Red Rock teams moves from practices and tournaments into training sessions.   During spring we run  our Boys League and Boys Positional Camps.  The Boys League runs every Saturday.  The Boys positional camps run every Sunday.  In addition, our Red Rock 12u, 13u, 14u teams still practice 1x per week on Tuesdays or Wednesday while also playing on their middle school team during this period.

Summer Season

All  teams resume full practice again mid-May.    Practices are  3-4x per week.  Teams attend 2 or 3 summer tournaments.  During the summer season we have "Add-On Tryouts" for new players and new teams.  These new players are added to existing teams or new teams for the summer.  Summer season runs early May to June for regional teams and early May to early July for Travel teams.

Training & Conditioning 

Red Rock has a comprehensive training/conditioning program for its athletes.  It is optional but highly recommended. Teams condition before practice at the Riekes Center across the street from the SporsHouse.

Financial Commitment

The Red Rock Boys Programs includes tournament fees, gym rental fees, coaching salaries, and administrative fees.  Price is $400-$600 per month depending on the team.  This price does not include travel, food, hotel or NCVA/AAU/JVA Membership Registration.
